Hi all,

heading into town in just 13 days and will be around for 45 days.

I know its quiet now and I should walk around and get a good deal, but does anyone know of any definite deals being offered at the mo.

Haven't got any requirements as long as it is not a shit hole. Looking to pay around 10k for a condo/appt or 13k for a hotel on a monthly rate.

Thanks

Longy

On the low end check out www.skytoppattaya.com It's clean, good location one block from Beach Road and two minutes from soi 6. It has AC,TV,fridge. Try and book room 101 as it's large. Pete the owner should be more then willing to cut prices for a long term stay.

Try V&M Terrace on soi buakhow across from Family Mart about 80 yards in from Central Road. Quite a few expats there on long stays.

Nice clean rooms, a/c, cable, really nice staff, 2-key safebox in lobby, nice little bar with pool table, good falang brekkies, small pool in front (bit noisy but you can cool off).

One month is 6700 + electric and water so maybe 8000 max. all in.

Location is excellent, banks around the corner, soi7/8 a 3 min. walk and same to Tops for 24/7 fast internet and baht bus for quick run to soi 6. Lots of good places to eat and tons of shops/services on Central Road. Haircut 50 baht along soi buakhow on the right just past the curve.

Get a room on the back side and you can see trees and hear birds in the morning.

Good luck

Just looked at a new place near Lolitia's. 9K per month which includes water/electric and daily cleaning and a DVD player in room. Also free useage of internet in the lobby along with free pool. No lift or pool.

Its in the same area but on the small soi that runs into soi Buakaow. Its called the Metro Apartments. Email: metrorooms@yahoo.com There are over a dozen small new place in that area and with the opening on other hotels in Pattaya on a monthly basis the competition for customers is great right now. The other places in that area all offer competitive rates so if that one is full check on the others. The center piece of that area, The LK Metropole has the finest looking rooms that I've ever stayed in, looked at or seen photos posted on this board.

No, as I now have an appartment with a live in TGF further away from the action but an ideal location for me now as its just a short distance to Carrefour. Soi 7 and I did check out the rooms for OnMyWay, but unfortunately by the time he arrived a few days later they didn't have any vacancies. We did find him another place just a few meters away at basically the same price. This area is relatively new and many of these small guest houses have just recently opened with a few more to be opened shortely. In addition we noticed a go-go that is in the process of opening in this area just a few doors from Lolitias. If I was still butterflying I wouldn't hesitate to get a room in this area, they have new rooms that range from the budget minded to a few suites that are about 170 sq meters.

if you are only going to be there for 45 days try some of the hotels. from checking around I have found that the policy on long term varies greatly between hotels. At some place you might be able to get a deal where you pay only 30% or 40% of the daily rate if you are paying for a month in advance. Other want closer to the normal room rate. The only way you would know for sure is to ask.

My guess is that you might be able to get a rate of maybe 20,000 baht for a month at sabai lodge new building compared to a daily rate of 1300.
