No Airport - Pattaya bus anymore

Remembering how nice the VIP bus looked when I saw it parked at the Pattaya bus station a while ago, I decided to try it. I checked a while ago and it costed 250B. Looking to take the Thai Airways bus from Don Muang to Pattaya bus station I walked up to the information counter and asked "where is the bus to Pattaya?"

 

She said no more bus to pattaya. Service stopped a year ago!

 

This is a real shame. Is it because nobody was using it? I know it was a problem that the bus didn't leave often enough...

I've asked about that bus for years. Never managed to see it or get it even though it is mentioned in Rough Guide.

Do the Taxi Usually about 1200 plus whatever tolls you choose to pay.

 

I usually agree 1200 and say motorway and that I will pay tolls .

 

The tolls are usually less than 200 baht so for 1500 including tip you will be in Pattaya in 90 mins.
