Australian cricket on television?

I am lucky enough to be spending Christmas/New Year in Pattaya for the first time in a decade (I normally travel to the kingdom in off-peak times). The only thing I will regret is not being able to sit down on Boxing Day to a traditional day in front of the box watching Australia take on South Africa in the cricket test match.

 

Can anyone enlighten me on whether and/or where this match might be broadcast on satellite tv in Pattaya. I see UBC is covering the England vs Pakistan matches and then India v New Zealand but no mention of Australia.

It may be on the ABC service, but I doubt it. Even then you'd have to find a bar that showed it. But fingers crossed. If there is anywhere, I'll gladly join you for a VB in the long room.

Just watching the Aussies spank them South Africans now here in Tokyo through the Net.

 

The Willow TV site offers Net broadcasts of all major international cricket events. Prices work out at about $50-60 a series. A few bars I know rig them up to the TVs throught the Net and apart from the odd bit of buffering are great!

Aussies like to watch Australia play cricket.

Just like Englishmen like to watch England play cricket.Well,for the last 7 months anyway.In another 12 months the Poms will be back to the same old story.
