I don't know about America but just about every Aussie Vietnam vet I have met has some sort of psychological problem due to the war and they can't relate to people except other vets. They were treated harshly when they came back home. Called murderers and spat at in the street etc by hippies and do gooders It really affected them.

He chaps Somehow recently a virus or malware has gotten on to my computer.Certain words are highlighted and when you scroll your mouse on to them small advertisements pop up.. I was wondering how you get rid of this and if it can become more harmful to my computer?

Maybe youdon't get out much or have vision problems?Pattaya has really become a Family estination the last few years. Not so much English speaking farang but Russian,Indian,Korean etc.

Songkran is the worst experience I have ever had in my life. The article looks like a load of propaganda bullshit to me. It must be a different Pattaya to the one I know if you can get what you want for $5.00US?Maybe you get that in the Congo? As for 75-100 tourists dying every year in Pattaya.That is probably correct .But many come there to die having fun because they know their ill health will claim them soon.They want to be happy doing it.Many are cancer victims and old men with heart conditions.100 people dying is a small number compared to the hundreds of thousands if not millions that pass through Pattaya each year.

All this talk warning off people from buying a bar is fair enough.But some of them must be making good money surely?Otherwise they would have closed down long a go.Maybe having 3 or 4 in the same descent area would even things up a bit?

You have to spend a couple of days in Bangkok if you never have been just to witness the chaos with traffic and the shear size and hustle and bustle of the place.Then a couple of days relaxing in Pattaya and a side trip tp Cambodia is an eye opener worth doing as well.You must see the Angkor Wat temples at Siem Reap in Cambodia.I am no tourist but they are pretty amazing.Plenty of birds there too.

Everytime I go to Thailand I come down with some sort of cold in one shape or another.It is mainly due to hitting the piss and smoking like there is no tommorrow for the first couple of days and my immune system gets shot to pieces.I am then susceptible to any bug going around and normally catch something.Plenty of fruit off of the street vendors,plenty of soups with chilli and a couple of days off the piss normally gets me back to normal again.Oh and plenty of "catch up"sleep helps too.

How much do you think you would need each month to live on in Pattaya gentlemen?That is to say you are semi retired.Whether you buy accommadation outright or just rent?I would have to be reasonably comfortable to be able to do what I want when I want.If I were to live like shit I may as well stay home and keep working.
