Try the BJ Holiday Lodge near the bottom of Soi 3. Its new, meets your requirements, also has in room safe. Cost for me recently was 1000baht per night. In my view its better than the Sabii Inn and Sunshine Vista which I've stayed at before at that end of town.

henylek thanks for the website but nein spakken deutche!!!! anyone got a website in the engrit speak? haha

A short summary of the Einsatzplan hotel test:

Price 720 baht,

Joiner fee: No

Swimmingpools: 1, big

The testers from Feb 2002 and Nov 2004 are both describing that they were 2 times in this hotel, the first time the rooms were good, the 2nd time they were offered so terrible rooms that they checked out or left on the 2nd day. The tester from Nov 2004 gives a good rating and stresses the good price/performance ratio. The last tester also gives a good rating based on visiting this hotel since 14 years (2 times a year for 2-3 weeks).

By the way nickynohair:

Perhaps you should stay during your next visit in Naklua and ask the Thai girls to help you to reach at least the Issan-Deutsch level :P
