Samsonite, the point is that it is the only one flying the route simply because it is the only commercial aircraft in current service that can. :banana As I said, when the 777LR comes online you'll have the option of going non-stop to nice places such as Islamabad and Taipei.

Talk about a worthless thread. What a waste of time it was reading it.

Oh, I dunno, it manged to span about 5000 years from Stonehenge, to the future. Not bad by our standards. :D

Any day now.

It finished its certification program at the end of November and went into what Boeing calls "refurb" to prepare it for delivery to the customer.

So far Boeing has 20 firm orders for the 777-200LR and 16 for the new Freighter which is based on the -200LR. Air Canada has placed an order for 36 of the 777 and part of the order will be for -200LRs.

Apparently Qantas is still looking at it and the new 747-8.

I fly non-stop to Taipei now, via B747-400s, and I can't say I find Taipei exciting, but the flight is smooth and comfortable.

Here you go. Typical Airbus:

and "he ain't heavy, he's my ............" or

Hi,

I'm sure tha there is a lot of spin from both sides. :cry1

Competition is good for the consumers, though the Yanks don't see it that way when it affects their jobs or markets. I'd be happy to get on a Bxxxxx if it was headed for Bangkok this very day. :chogdee2
