what are the best day trips in pattaya??

Recommended Posts

Nong Nooch Tropical Gardens is a beautiful place. I recommend taking the full-day tour; the half-day tour actually only gives you about 2 hours once you're there. I think it's about 500 baht. There are a few pictures in a TR I posted recently.

Not really a day trip exactly, since it's just across Sukhumvit Road from Jomtien, but I absolotely loved Lakeland cable ski a couple days ago. It was my first time water skiing. It's tough, and I am discovering muscles aching that I completely forgot I even had.

Apart from an afternoon of worship at the temples on Soi 6 :clueless , hard to beat a boat trip to Ko Larn. Clean beaches, fine food, cold beer, heaven. Jump the ferry (only 20 baht one way) or charter your own boat (around 1500).

Tiger zoo. You can hold the baby tiger cubs, and feed them (or they you). Also there is a monkey cave somewhere near where you can feed wild monkeys. Crocodile farm, and Buddha mountain can also fill up some days.

I know a little about this because I arrive in 2 weeks with my 11 year old Daughter, 67 year old Mom, and 2 brothers . Mom will be home schooling Daughter in the evenings while me and brothers see the Pattaya culture at night :ang2

We will be spending a night on Ko Samet as well.

Now if you could feed the wild monkeys TO the crocodiles I might waste the time.

Sanctuary of Truth

Beauthiful, hand-carved wooden temple...that has been in progress for about 40 years and still has about 30 more years to go. Also had horse-back riding and a dolphin show. About 1/2 day tour for about 25 bucks
