eva air deluxe bus seats

Recommended Posts

I have flown Eva's deluxe economy from SFO to BKK. I have to say that the seats were as close you can get to Business class without paying the 3-5 times what economy costs.

They costed out to be $900 plus. A friend of mine who flew on the same flight paid $680 for his seat on regular economy. He did say that he would fly deluxe next time.

Just to add, the food, check in line and service is first rate compared to regular economy.

My own personal complaint, the time you arrive and wait time in Taipei airport. If they could get in much earlier such as Cathay Pacific, I would consider them again.

Eva gets in around 2200-2300 hours with a 2 day loss from the West Coast, I believe. Cathay's gets in about 1030 hours with 1 day loss. You know what airline I will be flying more often.

My two trips to LOS were both in Eva Evergreen Deluxe seats. Really appreciated the extra seat width and leg room. I also departed from SFO. My flights departed around 1am and my arrival time in BBk was around 11:30am the next day. My next flight in Oct leaves around 1am Oct 26 and arrives around 11:30am Oct 27. Should be in Pattaya before 3pm ....

Don't know of any other airline with Evergreen type seats/service leaving from SFO.

IMO de-luxe or elite as it is now known is a first class service, plenty of leg room and comfy seats..i always have trouble sleeping on flights but not this time (on the homeward flight I was lucky to be sat behind a screaming brat, why cant they confine them to cattle class?). would definately recomend it to anyone considering it.

Much the same for me. I used EVA on flights Jan 9th and Feb 3rd. Evergreen Delux was only about $200 more than economy, but what a difference. Nice wide seats and ample leg room, especially since I was on the aisle. I'll definitely be using them again.

I have flown EVA Evergreen Deluxe several times out of EWR and (like everyone above) would highly recommend them for the nominal extra cost (after all you will be spending 40+ hours in them).

One more thing I love - buy some noise cancelling headphones - decent quality - makes a huge differnce in relaxation when you don't have to crank the volume on the airline cheap set to hear over the roar of the engine. You can go cheap like I did my first few flights - buy a pair of the overpriced but decent quality Bose on ebay, use them for the trip and then sell them on ebay for about the same as you paid.

I've also flown EVA deluxe out of EWR. I think the deluxe seat is worth the extra money. The extra leg room is great on such a long flight.

One thing they don't show on their website is that there is a layover in Seattle before you head to Taipei, which adds a couple of hours to the trip.
