J House is closer to the beach, but Nautical Inn is just a 100 meters or so away, I haven't stayed in anyone. Nautical Inn is in the Soi 11 area and 800 - 1200 baht, J House is near pattayaland and 650 baht. I googled the prices so not sure about those.

the nautical has rooms around the pool and very relaxed its like your own home, with the resturant there too.,,,,walk 50mts and your at the 5 star bar on beach rd a lot of my mates stay there ,,new beds and TV and paint job.

i loved the place before i had my house, they have put it up to 700 high season ,sill good value.

Nautical Inn is the oldest hotel in Pattaya (1961), but is a good choice, you are only 50 meter of the beach and you have a seaview on the last bulding dating of the 90's. A really large garden from beach road to second road and room like bungalow around the pool. One of my favorite in Pattaya. J House is without garden but right on beqch road.

Is the Nautical Inn Girlfriend friendly?

Are there safes in the rooms?

very girl friendly,no safes in the rooms ,safety deposit boxes at the foyer.

except for the bad girls you get off the beach, nothing ever gets taken, great staff.

Thanks for the information.

Does anyone know if they have a web site?

I couldn't find one via Google.

Unfortunately Nautical inn doesn't have a site, you find some fotos in einsatzplan.de and in virtualtourist.com with my name member "pimilan".

Thanks everyone for all the great information.

The price sounds almost too low. What do you get for 700 THB as compared to say, The Sandy Spring. What I mean is quality and condition of room, furniture, size of bathroom, etc.

Thanks. If there were a web site wouldn't bother you with these questions.

Thanks, again.

If you want new ,,sandy springs,a lot of my mates stay there too, they always ask for the floor where the pool is,,very nice rooms, the nautical as the boys said are old around the pool but have just been done up,the tower of the nautical is newer and nicer rooms at 800 a night,

just pick a hotel and have a look around when you get here..the main thing is to get here quick, check in quick, have a tub,and go on the prowl.the girls dont care where they stay as long as they can sleep, and have a remote in their hands.

good luck.

I wrote a review on the J-House last year.

http://www.pattayapages.com/reviewpost/sho...=7&cat=4&page=6

Essentially, it is a reasonable budget hotel in a great location with a lovely pool on the roof although, it gets very hot up there and the only shade is a small Pagoda.

Although I don't use this place anymore, prefering to be in Walking St. In the 40-50 times I stayed there, the only problem ever encounted was a broken shower boiler which was rectified in an hour.

Expect to pay around 600 in low and 800 in high season with discounts for stays of longer than 2 weeks.
