China Air - Luggage

i have made 2 rt on china air

all 4 legs would NOT let me carry on my 22 inch roller

made everyone check in baggage, and if you got thru the boarding pass folks, they took the bags as you got onto plane

No such problems with China Airlines in Dynasty Class, infact I am amazed at the size of some peoples cabin baggage.

Obviously my ticket costs twice as much as economy passengers and as a consequence I like to take advantage of all those little benefits which this price includes. For instance, quite apart from quaffing gallons of Champagne I always aim to exit Bangkok airport & be in a taxi within 10 minutes of the door opening.

Therefore, I never check in hold baggage on my outward leg and being one of the first off the plane I usually win the race to get to passport control ahead of the rest.

I am using China airlines Dynasty class in the Summer, I was just wondering what is your weight limit for baggage? it is normally 20kg with all other airlines and I think about 7kg for hand luggage.

 

Any ideas?

If you have purchased the discounted Dynasty Class at around £1000.00 then your baggage allowance is officially the same as economy however, I always buy this ticket and although I only take hand baggage to Thailand, my bags on return weigh over 30 kg. At the biz class check in at Bangkok Airport they never mention it.

If you have purchased the full fare Dynasty Ticket (aprox, £1850.00) then you have a 30kg allowance which in reality probably means 40kg.

My hand luggage usually weighs around 12kg and is a lot smaller than some of the bags the Louis Vuitton brigade bring on board.

CI is just following the rules...unlike most US carriers which allow you to carry-on your car
