hello everyone .. i'm new here :P

frequent user of another forum .. (booo .. hissss .. you all yell .. lol :P) that is phuket related

hopefully you all use the same abreviations here as else where like LOS , BG , BM etc so hopefully i'll settle in fairly quick ..

i've not been to pattaya before .. only got back from phuket around 4 weeks ago and now desperate to get back to LOS :P .. and thought it only fair to try pataya .. save me the plane fair to phuket as well .. i'm sure i'll find someting else to "ride" other than a plane with the ££ i've saved . :banana

have booked my flights , only a short one i'm sad to say sob sob .. 1st - 8th may .. london - BKK - London. .. so going ot be really hard pushed to fit it all in ..

i've not booked a hotel yet .. so .. hoping to find some good advice on here .. (yes i'll also use the search button)

Pat seem one hell of a lot bigger than Patong Beach .

and i'm in need to quick start guide to area .. i'll spend a few hours later reading more on here and hopefully see some BM's when i'm in LOS ..

Welcome to our board. I also am a member of the other board, unless there are multiple phuket boards. Can't have too much info. I usually stay at the Marriott, it's got a great location and the BG love it, but a bit pricey for the alternatives. Getting around is no problem, even if it is bigger than Patpong-I would just recommend getting a LT girl and use her as a guide. I'm in FLB every night make MM a rich man :chogdee2. Just look for the youngish Yank with a baseball cap.

Hey Brummie :D,

Hmmmmmmmmmm only 7 days, not too long to get to know well.

I suggest you try one of the many hotels on Soi 7&8,these are probably

the 2 busiest Soi's away from Walking st.Flipper Lodge and Flipper House

Eastiny on Soi 8,these are popular places to stay and right in the middle of all

the action :3some :bj2 :drunk :finger  :clap1 .

I however go for the long stays 2/3 mnths, and tend to stay a little away from

these mad areas.

Have a cool trip, dont forget to fill is in on how you like Patters in comparison

to Phuket.

Steve..........Oldhamer

Hi magy not long for you now,bet you can`t wait!,

You may have already sorted your hotel but I would agree that on a relatively short visit location is important.

As pattysteve mentioned soi7 and 8 are good locations, plenty of bars on your doorstep.

soi 13 also good, mainly a soi of hotels, relatively quiet at night, you can stroll down to Walking Street in about 10/15 minutes, can also catch a baht-bus down to soi7,8 and soi6(that`s worth a visit, plenty of eye candy there,a soi mainly of s/t bars),takes about 5/10 minutes to get there, cost 10baht(about 15UK pence).

Wherever you stay try to get a sense of direction before you get too :finger

Well Have a Good Trip!

I`m sure you will

Hi Magy.

Brummie here too.Have stayed in the pig and whistle on soi 7.Cheap and cheerful, only downside is no pool.Still managed to go diving though :eyecrazy

If you get time pop into Pimms bar in soi Honey.Owner is a dummy brummie blue nose named Paul.We were there one year and he flew home for a wedding. On his return the whole bar was re-decorated in Villa tops, shorts, scalves etc.

Have a good one.
