thats what im planning to do, but i thought i might get a better rate for a months stay at one hotel.

I tryed to get a one months price at Areca, there was none.

I think the are pretty well booked at all times.

I have stayed in both last year, anyway, cannot really compare as I had a deluxe at Sandy and a standard at Areca which also was some 200 Baht cheaper. I prefer the Sandy! I believe better value for money. Larger rooms and important for me no problems with telephone. Just a mere 8 Baht for a local Call without any interruption (I need a telephone for my laptop as I sometimes need to work and an internet connection).

Hint: If you stay longer in Sandy ask for their membership card. It costs 350 Baht and is valid one calendar year. With this card you will get cheaper rates, normally 50 Baht a day. So it pays off after 7 days.

Does sandy spring reply to their emails? i dont think so, emailed sandy and areca for prices recieved prices for areca the same day still waiting for sandy after second email still no reply, so much for customer service. they made up my mind at wich hotel to stay at.

one thing I noticed about the areca during my January trip was that you get very many european middle aged couples staying there, not really a problem but to see those fucking whales by the pool while you are with your TG is a bit off putting to put it mildly

I was just asking for prices for a months stay not a confirmation, tha address i used was info@sandyspring.co did you email them on a different addrees?

Hi Markytree,

You can actualy get the same standard or deluxe sea view rooms a little cheaper than direct from the hotel's site by booking through scandibar, this will give you the same rate as the SS gives you by signing up for their yearly membership card, but without paying the fee of course.

No wonder, you do not get a reply. This addy is wrong. Try this one instead:

info@sandyspringhotel.com

Never had any problems with emails, am a regular guest with them since 2 years although for my next trip I have chosen the Flipper Lodge. Hint: Ask for the Customer (Membership) Card (350 Baht valid one calendar year). This makes room rates cheaper (50 less than offered by Scandibar).

they are both good places to stay the areca has the better pools a small gym

and a restaurant.

the areca has a better location soi 13 is a great area to stay [as long as the construction is not too loud]

I do find that if I stay at the areca I find my way to other parts of pattaya on soi 13 it can get a bit groundhog day.

oh and lolitas is close to the areca.

you have the time so try them both and it will break up your routine.
