hey ya'll....I'll be arriving in BKK tomorrow night (Thurs. June 8th) at 10pm. I'd like to take a taxi directly to Pattaya to kick off my vacation...

Just wondering how much this would cost? Should I take a taxi from the airport or find a roamer outside? and do you know any good drivers that are cheap and can be booked ahead of time?

Thanks for your help

Keep it simple use one of the taxi services that operate inside the airport. I have always recieved good service from these people. Why take a chance your first time here. Cost is about 2,000 baht last I heard.

I agree with the above, but make sure that you get what you asked for. I.e. agree on car type and costs of highway.

Don't take cabs from the stands at the place close to the customs (more expensive) but take one from representative at the meeting point (end of the 'corridor').

  • 2 weeks later...

I was in thailand very recently and noticed that the airport taxis outside the terminal have put their price upto 1600 baht for the trip to pattaya. When you add the tolls (158?) its pretty close to the taxis/limo services inside the terminal that the guys have posted above. I paid 1900 for mine.

An alterntive is just hang around outside where the airport taxis are and u will get approached by one of the taxi drivers...just stick to 1200 baht and they will take u up the road and drop u off at a taxi place. Done this a few times and never had a problem..nice new cars etc.

If its your 1st time though, then get a limo from inside the airport terminal as per the other posts..

You can always go up to the arrivals and try to get a taxi there - around 900 baht on the meter and toll roads 145 baht

I usually order a car from my hotel 1300 baht (hotel takes 300) + parking in airport + toll roads
