Malaysian Airline

Recommended Posts

I’m thinking trying Malaysian Air on my next return from the states.

I know they got a 5 Star rating from Skytrax, economy graded out at 4 Stars.

I looked at their website and the economy seats look pretty good 34” pitch with seatback video monitor etc.

Has any one flown with this airline lately and if so what is your opinion on the flight and service?

Since I’ll have a couple hour layover at KUL, I was also curious about the airport shower service (availability and price).

TIA; any info is appreciated.

Cheers!

Bill

have flown with them from the uk very good the only downside is he stop over as u r flying pass Thailand only to fly back. KL airport is huge and u will most likley have to get the free train over 2 the second terminal.

beer is scase and expensive at the airport 2

Flew with them to the UK from Australia (Economy), nothing to write home about, not as good as Thai, Qantas or BA and no were near as good as both Emirates or Singapore which IMO are a cut above the rest.

Food on Malaysian was the worst ive ever had, trying to get a beer was hard work as well, only plus’s were, cost, very cheap when I booked and on time but apart from that, wouldn’t recommend them.

Cheers

  • 2 weeks later...

I could not recommend them.

I actually asked one of the flight stewards/hostess why I had to ask for a drink 3 times before it arrived begrudingly!!

But on the plus... they are cheap. You get what you pay for.

How they get a high rating baffles me!!!

Regards.

I've only flown with them short haul Bangkok to KL and KL to Langkawi and return. Can't really recall too much about the service or the food so it couldn't have been too bad.

I wasn't too bothered about the food in any case as I'd had breakfast before going to the airport. Obviously service is more important on long haul than it is on short haul.
