Dead Duck

A Lady finds here pet Duck lifeless so takes it to the vet to get some help. On examination of the pet Duck the vet pronounces it is dead, the Lady cannot believe it and asks the vet if he is sure as the Duck means so much to her. The vet proceeds to leave the office and comes back with a Labrador who puts it's paws up on the table where the Duck is laying and gives it a good sniff, the Labrador looks at the vet with sad eyes and shakes it head. The vet tells the Lady the Duck is definitely dead, she wants another opinion, the vet disappears again and comes back with a cat. The cat hops up on the table where the Duck is and proceeds to sniff him all over then turns to the vet and shakes his head. The vet says the Duck is really dead and heads off to his computer to make the bill up. He gives the bill to the lady and it is for £200, she still upset by the death of her pet Duck cannot believe how much the bill is. She asks the Vet why it costs so much to tell her that her Duck is dead. The vet says well if you would have taken my word for it in the first place the bill would have been about £10 but with the Lab reports and the Cat scan things add up.
