Does anyone know of any opticians that can put your current prescription lenses in a machine to determine the prescription to make a new set?

My current precription is for reading but I still use my old one for driving and as I only have one pair I thought it would be a good idea to have them cloned.

Cheers guys,

GR.

The nice lady in 'Top Cheron' (spelling?) did this for me. The branch in Mike's shopping Mall (beach rd end, on left as you walk in).........ask for 'lucky' Yes, that's her name for us Ferrangs <grin

About 8 days later, I recieved new frame and lenses, which a Ladyboy promptly broke about 3 days later. Ouch that hurt :banghead

A pair of 1.6 index lenses with anti reflective coating, cost me 2600 baht.

You're right - the spelling's wrong. :D It's Top Charoen (I think) and they have shops all over the place. I got my new glasses at their Pratamnak Road branch though I did have my prescription from the UK with me. They should be able to check your prescription for you. The shop I used made up the prescription and gave me a frame they must use for testing your eyesight with the lenses in to ensure that the prescription was correct.

I have what's called a complex prescription so it took a bit over a week to get the glasses made.
