Fair number of hotels offer stay for 14 and pay for 10. Sunshine on soi 8 usually offers this.

Lots of cheap hotels available around then!

Even if you don't stay for a full month, it's cheaper to pay the monthly rate!

Lots of nice and clean little hotels around 600 baht per night or 12000-13000 baht a month (about 400 baht a night)!

Maybe even cheaper in low season, most hotels in this price-racket are situated, near the Soi Dianna Inn and Soi Bua Khao intersection, especially in the Soi LK Metro, some even has free wireless connections in their rooms, although no swimming pool!

No need to prebook just go their and check them out, always easy to find some room even in the high season.

Many places offer monthly rates. If they don't then after you look at a room and find it to your liking ask how much for the rate. After they quote you a daily rate then ask how much for 4 weeks. You need to do this when the manager is on site as they will be the only one that can quote you a lower rate. The places that do offer weekly or monthly rates are always alot lower than their daily rate. I stayed at the Holiday Mansion as an example and the daily rate was 1200, the monthly rate was 12,000. Also before you compare monthly rates you need to find out the details so that your not comparing apples with oranges. Some place will include electric and water in the monthly price while other don't. Also some will include daily housekeeping, while other will only provide it free once a week, twice a week, etc.
