Displayed prices are for multiple nights. Check the site for price per night. I see hostels starting at 200b/day and hotels from 500b/day on agoda.

It's a decent hotel for a first timer, but if you know the town a bit better then you can find better value in other areas. Stick to the new building at Lek. The old one is pretty beat up.

You might go to sawasdee.com and request lodgings from several hotels to check availability. High season and Peak season will likely run you between 1600-1900 baht at a nice hotel; less at a guest house. Best to book ASAP for Dec/Jan

Lek Hotel breakfast is fantastic value at 110B and they serve until 1pm -- the best breakfast deal after the Diana Hotel. The rooms are so-so. The old wing rooms are an absolute drag.

If you are staying at least six nights and can stretch to 1250 baht per night, you won't be disappointed with http://www.lekvilla.com/index.html

Amazing pool and the cheapest minibar prices around.

Get in there now. Ask for a Pool View room.

Looks good, but the map on the website sucks. How far is it from WS and is it on the baht bus route?

It's on the Naklua(10 baht) baht bus route or two minutes walk from the Dolphin roundabout to put it in perspective.

It's at the other end of the Beach road than WS.

No more than two years old and friendly to guests.

The pool is actually a lot bigger than is shown in their pic. Maybe 50 meters. From memory a Singha from the minibar is around 35 baht. Much the same for a poolside order.

If it wasn't peeing down, I'd take some photos. Don't want to get my camera wet.

1) The Lek hotel's airconditioning units are very noisy even on the lowest setting - you and your date for the night may have problems trying to get to sleep

2) The breakfast is buffet and is left unattended in the open air. I have seen flies in it and I got food poisoning, I think from eating the buffet

3) There are no proper in room safes in the old wing - just a flimsy lockable cupboard

4) Room service is only until 10pm

5) Rooms in the old wing are in need of updating

6) If you go to Walking street a lot then bear in mind that the Lek is still a 25 minute brisk walk there. If you have a date for the night you will need to arrange a taxi back as I never found any girl willing to walk back

there was a in room safe in the room i was in,not as noisy as i thought it would be (i was in a room overlooking 2nd road) agree about the buffet breakfast crap. room not bad but dark needs more lighting,if you had the curtains open room got warm quickly.inn house better for same money.
