I am thinking about booking into the Residence Garden as it ticks most of my requirements reasonably well. Largeish rooms, Swimming pool etc.

Ill be there for 3, possibly 4 weeks in November. 1 Bedroom suite.

I do however have a couple of questions i hope someone will be able to answer.

What are the bathrooms like? I can't seem to find any pics or descriptions of them that are even remotely recent and to be honest even the older stuff says very little.

On the website pics, the Bed looks a tad narrow. Is it a proper double or some mini version? Some of us are a bit wider than others :poke

As a newby to Pattaya ( was there 10 years ago for a whole 9 days ) am i going to find it easy or hard to figure out when to get off the Bahtbus on my way back to the hotel? And do they run 24 hours? Doubt very much ill be using the Bike taxi's so will have to either walk or get the bus.

Many thanks in advance for any replies ............ Helpfull or otherwise :moon

Bathrooms are nice size w/ walk in shower stall at floor level w/ shower curtain...so the bathroom floor may get wet. Not as wet as in some places w/ no stall or curtain. Oh and the stall is plenty big enough for two :)

Not 100 % sure but I think most of the beds are queen size. There are some rooms w/ doubles. Email them and tell them you need a big bed and they will most probably be able to set you up.

Baht bus is dead easy to get to walking street and beyond. Coming home late and don't want to mess about? Then simply hire a baht bus to take you direct to the hotel for 100 baht. :clap2

Hope I was more helpful then otherwise :D

What sailfast said is correct. The beds I've had there have been queen size so certainly big enough for two.

For the return to the Residence Garden, just push the button about 15 or 20 seconds after you go under the overcrossing bridge and start up the hill. You can see the hotel on the left side of the road from about a block away. The room I was in had a tub. I really would have liked the walk in shower as I almost fell getting out of it one night after a night on the town. I was lucky someone was there to keep me from falling!

Some of the rooms in the southern wing, the wing to the far right of the lobby and upper car park, have combination tubs/showers instead of the walk-in showers in the main wing. The faucet arrangements in those are a bit easier to get the water temperature currect than those in the main wing, for some reason. And yes, as others have said, the beds are queen-size; plenty of room for 2, and I've fund them to have even enough room for 3 on occasion! :D However, I'm also a bit on the slim side, which does work to my advantage in such matters.

Planning to go sometime later this year and i just wanna know if the flb rate at 1399 baht does include breakfast or not. Will people who have stayed there help out on this one ? Does booking online request for a deposit using credit card ? thanks in advance.

The rate does not include breakfast. The breakfast menu that's available has several options: a la carte, a continental breakfast, and an "American Style" breakfast. As regards reservations, I've never been asked for a credit card # or deposit whenever I've booked there, and I've stayed there 7 times.

I'm booked, via Internet, in November. The E-Mail confirmation of my booking says

No deposit required.

Cash preferred.

Please settle your account every 7 days.

Thanks for all the help folks. Having checked out a few other places this is the one i've chosen. Have booked in for most of November

Looks to me there is nothing else out there that comes close to it for the price.
