condo rental taxes

I am thinking of buying a condo in my own name and renting it out when i'm not in Pattaya.

 

Is any tax supposed to be paid on this income to the Thai government?

 

How much?

 

Do people pay it?

Yes ,Theoretically tax should be paid.But no one does and I have never heard of any problems.

Also if you are a UK tax payer then you are supposed to pay taxes on overseas income to the UK government as well.

Price of civilization. I've never minded paying taxes as I see the benefits all around me. As an example we pay heavy school taxes but I live in one of the top ten school districts in Pennsylvania. Our daughter got a great education. Well worth the money we paid.

Pay tax ? don't be daft. I don't even think that the agents here retain the tax liability.
