Swissôtel Le Concorde in Bangkok

Guys,

 

I have been to Pattaya many times over the last 10 years. Never spent time in Bangkok. A couple of friends/clients will be staying at the Swissôtel Le Concorde when I arrive in a few weeks. Thinking of spending a few days. Bangkok cannot be that bad!!!!

 

Question: Is Swissôtel Le Concorde anywhere near "the action". Are they girl friendly? If not, how far and how much?
