emirates lounge dubai

Recommended Posts

The lounge that you will get access to is situated around gates 9-10. This lounge used to be shit because everyone just crammed in and you could hardly ever get a seat.

Recently they have tightened up and you have to show a combination of your skywards card, boarding pass and lounge invitation card which you should get when checking in at your origin airport.

The facilities are reasonable with several TV's about 8 free internet stations and around 4 -6 hot dishes and a large selection of cold foods as well as free alcohol and soft drinks.

I have heard that when the new terminal opens next year all emirates flights will then transfer to it and the old terminal currently in use will serve all non Emirates flights, so this should improve the facilities and eleviate the overcrowding even more.

Used the Emirates Business class lounge last month - arrived 0430 place was nearly empty however by 0600 the place was packed ! This lounge just cannot cope with the level of passengers now using Emirates.

Hopefully should be better next year when the new terminal opens.

Sorry safc slightly off topic,

I also have just reached silver status with Emirates, does anybody know if I get to use the lounges in either Birmingham and Manchester and if so are they any good. These look like being my departure airports for the forseesable future.

  • 2 weeks later...

Dubai Airport currently is a nightmare and about 90% of the times i have used it the aircraft gets parked up somewhere about a 10 minute bus ride from the terminal both arrival/ departure alike.

They badly need the new terminal opened.

There are actually two Emirates lounges for business passengers/silver members. When it is particularily busy both are in operation as they were 10 days ago when i passed through. They are almost directly opposite each other. Reasonable facilities though if you can get a seat (not always easy).
