AIA Mobile Network Sim Cards

I have not been to Thailand since May but will be returning in a couple of weeks time. My AIS One 2 Call sim will have expired so does anyone know if new Sim cards as opposed to top-up cards for AIS are now available in 7-11's and Family Mart stores?

 

Back in April they were only available from AIS outlets, my first stop is in Bangkok and I do not really want to trudge down to an AIS shop if they are available more locallly. I prefer the AIS network for both coverage and pricing.

Family Mart and 7-eleven shops are not selling sim-cards but all shops selling mobiles are, for example on the 2nd floor in Central Festival ("Big C").

There is a AIS outlet at the (new) airport. Hopefully I remembered it well if I say it's on the arrival floor. It's next to the DTAC-outlet :-).

 

Otherwise, go to Pantip or MBK and you'll surely find what you're looking for....

In the stop about halfway to Pattaya that many of the drivers do (a street full of gasstations, restaurants and shops), there are two 7-11 shops. The last one of them are selling new AIS 1-2 Call sim cards.

 

Never seen the shop at the new airport, but that would be my choise if I needed a new one.

 

BTW my 1-2 Call sim card is now working back here in Norway... I have filled it up from here, and can receive text and calls (th Bahts are running out fast though). Can also do call out, but not sure how to

send text.
