Displayed prices are for multiple nights. Check the site for price per night. I see hostels starting at 200b/day and hotels from 500b/day on agoda.

late night transportation cost from the airport

Recommended Posts

My plane gets in around midnight.

On a bit of a tight budget and haven't been through the new airport before.

If I can't get a ride share, I guess I'm limited to taxi at that hour.

What kind of price can I hope to negotiate ?

Thanks

Hey walt, what's your budget?

I've used Toom almost exclusively for a while - his info is here. But others swear by various different services.

Before leaving the states, I just assume that I'm dropping 1,200 for the ride to Ptty (with Toom).

I use a Pattaya based service that costs 1000 baht + tolls (60) and parking (about 30). I've used them both coming and going over 40 times and never had a problem. Let me know if you want contact info.

Thanks for the replies and info.

Last time I just took the bus from Don Muang...so it's a 1k bt jump.

I did email Mr Toom on 14 Nov for pick up, but still no reply.

Thanks Again

If you're gonna use Toom, if you haven't had a reply in 24-hours, you should write back. He (they) are good at quick responses.

What email addy did you use?

In the off chance that it was a problem on my end, I've emailed him again from

another account.

Thank You again for your help

I wouldn't "negotiate" anything. I would go directly to the official taxi meter stand, where the lines should be small at that time of night (they were for us a 1 am 3 weeks ago). The official fee should be around 1,050 and the taxi will be traceable if any problems arise. No real difference (and better in some cases) between the meter taxis and some of the cars Toom will send.

For any reason, your flight gets delayed, or if you want to wait till 8 AM, there is a bus. Bell bus company, fare till hotel 106B

Oh just noticed, you have confirmed to Mr.Toom. No problems. I have used his services 4 times. Very reliable...

I always use "Mrtoom" very reliable.I believe maybe the other service that "Emil" is referring to is Mr "T",not the same and charges 1000 bht!

I use On The Ways aka Khrongfa and they are a Pattaya based travel service which will also provide vans if you have a few other punters. They contract with various drivers in Pattaya.
