Why so few posts ?

This used to be a busy forum ,just one or two months ago ,now hardly anything .

Agreed. I used to log in every day and there was always something worth reading. For the last couple of months there has been little of interest and few trip reports. Another BM was complaining some time ago about the increase in the number of useless "one liners" that add nothing to the collective fund of knowledge and are not even entertaining. All the boards are the same. It's not just this one.

I suppose it's up to all of us to either do something about it or refrain from logging on. When a little time has elapsed since a visit to LOS it's difficult to find a lot to say apart from responding to other people's posts. I think the main responsibility lies with those who have just come back to submit a TR and with ex-pats who can keep all of us informed of new developments. Some (many) boardies don't submit TR's for some reason so we should be grateful for those that do. I am flying out on Wed.16th Jan. for a month trip so watch this space. I will try to post a TR asap upon my return and do my best to make it interesting, but that depends on many factors.

On the bright side, you should take a look at the Queen Vic board. That one just hasn't taken off at all and is dying on it's feet. We can be grateful for what we have here and try not to be too critical.

It's almost 6 years since I joined this board. At that time, Pete owned the FLB and this was the main board people posted on. There were other boards around, but these have completely lost the way.

 

New boards opened up and for whatever reason, they immediately became very popular and many people who would otherwise be posting here have decided to concentrate their time on one of the other boards. I post mainly on Secrets now, but still check this board most days if I can. I am also on a number of the other boards but simply do not have the energy to check them all on a regular basis.

I found that when i posted a trip report it was ridiculed so I never finished the report, most guys are now afraid to post pictures of their girls because there are arseholes out there showing the girls their pictures on this forum.

Well, there have been 366 posts so far today so I don't think your problem is with the number of posts. If you were a mod and had to read each one you'd be complaining of too much posting

 

If you don't like what you are reading or feel different topics should be covered then as always the thing to do is to get busy and post some thought provoking, interesting (to you) stuff of your own and see what happens.
