Oman Air LGW to BKK via Muscat

Oman Air seem to be the middle-eastern budget airline this year (at least for summer flights). The flights operate with A310s, anyone used this service or flown with them before? What are they like? What's the service and food like? I assume alcohol is available.

I did pull up the details of the connection times via Airline Network but on seeing the return connection (on the date I entered) was 8 hours I had no further interest !!
