Hi does anyone know if my one-2-call simcard will work in Japan with a tri-band phone?

Frosty, the 12call sim does not work in the US for calling out or sending SMS messages, but it DOES work for receiving calls and SMS messages. You have to add either TMobile or ATT to your list of approved networks on your phone. Easy way to test if you have set it up properly is to use Yahoo Messenger to call your Thai cell phone.

It definitely will not work in Japan. Different frequencies are used there.

 

Here's the Thai site for the AIS internatioal roaming product. I can't find the English version. You press *125# to activate it.
