I received this email today from EVA and thought it may be useful to someone who prefers direct flights. I have not checked availability however if these prices are available direct from the Airline there should be some Internet deals available.

I got the same e-mail from Eva today.

I think it will be great for BMs heading to Thailand and back before Christmas but not much use to BMs wanting to go over Christmas.

There will likely be no availability for return flights between 1st and 9th January, and with only a 30 day validity, plus the outbound ticket has to be used by the 9th December means it will be not much use for the main holiday period.

Eva were my carrier of choice for a long long time but in last couple of years service has declined beyond belief along with zero air miles on 1 month tickets, loss of business class lounge for silver card holders, dire food, crews who want to serve the meal asap on take off and sleep themselves, have lost me as a customer for the forseeable future.

Etihad and Qatar are far superior with frequent flyer schemes in a different class.
