Hi

Does anyone know if when using Thai FF miles for, say, an internal flight, if there is anything to pay? Do the FF miles cover everything, or do you have to pay the taxes, etc? Can't find it stated on their website.

The airport taxes, government taxes (etc) have to be paid as an extra.

Yes I just used my miles as they were expiring Dec 31st.

one way was 550 baht flying from Don Muang to Udon Thani

also flew round trip and I think it was 1500 baht

The round trip was a bit high but still cheaper than flying

hope that helps

I'm just about to book my flight for May and was wondering if it was worth paying and extra 20-30 quid for a Q class ticket with full milage.

The extra cost for miles would be worth it if flying Thai internally, but with Air Asia being soo much cheaper, and if you have to pay the taxes on top of using miles, it would work out more or less the same. Although the Thai domestic flights are more comfortable and you do get a free sarnie!

You won't get 1/2 those miles until you are back in the UK. I would always chase ticket price first, miles are a bonus, but cash works best!
