Great rate...... and still avalable (I was checking LAX-BKK)

 

The bigest downside - 2 stops (NRT & SIN) and long layovers in Singapore (7hrs going and 9 hrs returning).

 

So The question I would ask...Is flying on a great airline worth these two problems, or is it better to pay a couple of hunderd more for a more direct route. I know ....that money can buy alot of ST and LT. But sitting in airports sucks!

 

Edit: I just found China Air had a 1 stop with reasonable layovers for $703 All-in. The only bad part is it gets in to BKK a 1am. But I'd rather be in the LOS than sitting in the Singapore airport.

I also pulled the trigger on this SQ fare…$679.11 SFO-BKK. I have been a died-in-the-wool EVA elite class flier in the past, but this price and SQ’s reputation got me to switch and give them a try. I have always been a big fan of EVA’s seats and the leg support, but that and a few hours are the only positives I can think of. SQ has the newest design seats, the best AVOD, and great service. The closer for me was Cuban Cigars at SIN are supposedly the cheapest outside of Central America… I gain a 4 hour layover in SIN and a 2 hr flight up to BKK, but the other side is that I get in early enough to catch the Bell Bus.

Zues… Watch out for CI, those old 747’s have no AVOD In economy and some pretty hard seats, at least EVA and SQ (out of SFO) fly new 777er’s
