Health insurance

I am a disabled u.s. veteran. I will be moving to Thailand in September. I am suppose to be covered by my vets health insurance, but does it work there? I looked on the VA sires here and find very little. Any US vets have any experience?

Wouldn't you have to go for treatment to the nearest VA medical center? I'm a vet also, but no disability. Still, I think I could get treatment at the VA if necessary. I haven't done that, though, as I have other insurance.

Just a guess but I should think it is Tripler Army Medical Center on Oahu.

 

Back during the Vietnam War I was stationed there. It was for all services, vets and citizens of the trust territories.

 

I googled Vetrans Hospital and came up with these links:

It appears on very brief inspection that there are outpatient clinics in the Pacific but Tripler is the hospital still.

Just curious are you military retiree as well as a disables veteran?

If so you might look at Tricare Overseas coverage as well as your VA coverage.
