As some of the chat members are aware I have been negotiating with the owner of "Edina" - the boat that FLB has used in the past for cruises.

 

We have had the boat refurbished and she is now back in the water ready for some fun and adventure on the high seas. We are offering some of the old formats and a few new ones as well.

 

The website is currently being revamped and a new website should appear over the next week. We would like to ramp up the new services and will be maintaing the current price structure for FLB members into the new year.

 

- Fancy some fishing?

- Catering and drinks available on request - a Thai and Falang menu will be available.

Ken, good luck with this. Think you will do well as your prices are very reasonable. Look forward to coming in 2 weeks and taking a trip or 2 on the Edina...

Very good luck with this. Very roughly $1,000 a day for a couple or three days for something like Edina seems quite reasonable. The harder part will probably be getting the word out. You might want to have a little press party -- do a day trip with selected Bangkok (and one or two Pattaya) media people and you'd get some publicity I'm sure. Hard work herding those cats but you can't buy the sort of publicity that travel mags and industry publications give you.

 

I have to back up MM on the site re-direction. From the link you gave you can quickly click on Edina of course. But then, lord that background is about as annoying as anything I've seen since the beginning of the millennium. Something just a little less rivetting might be better for a business site? It's hard to concentrate on the words when the psychedlic flashing lights are going off all around.

The link is going to the OLD (current) site and I just got the drafts for the new one today. It will save me altering things on this thread when the site is changed.

 

The media stuf is already in the pipeline and there will be a few promotional days in the next month or so.

Hope the new adventure works. I remember a few of the FLB day boat trips with half of the FLB girls going along. Only problem was getting them back to work that night on time and sober.
