Perhaps it is one of those things that you don't miss until you have owned one.

Maybe I'll ride the next wave......

If you decide to get an iCon wait until you can hold it anyway you like and they give 4G capability. I think that will be 4 or 5 releases down the road. They have another 3 Million users to upsell to AGAIN

I live in Thailand, 4G availability might come when cell phones have been replaced by cell watches.... :D

Blah Blah Blah.......iphone this iphone that.

World is overhyping IPHONE.

I have had that many phones i have lost count....and i refused to tag along on the IPHONE bandwagon

.....................................until curiousity got the better of me and i bought 1.....full intending to keep it 2 weeks and than sell again.

GRRRRRRRRRR.......it's wonderful. It's the hype and MORE.

It really pains me to say it...........as soon as you pick it up/feel it/use it.........its simply a pleasure

I agree vidman, after the iPhone has been out for all of these years, none of the other phone manufacturers have been able to make a touchscreen or keyboard that works as well as the Apple. Everything is so smooth and works flawlessly every time, hard to beat.

Got myself a Samsung Galaxy S few months ago, and it's a nice piece of kit, although the battery runs out pretty quickly.

OS updates however are not OTA, but via a piece of shit software, which still isn't functioning properly.

And the service (service used loosely) desk over here in Holland is as useful as a chocolate fireguard.

Well. I've got a HTC Legend and I love it. However, as cocodile said (above) I also find the battery needs recharging every day. On the other hand, if I switch off the Mobile Wireless Network, it lasts for days. It seems that whenever the weather (or other similar programs) update as I'm moving around, the battery chews up power, and also the phone chews up money.

Make sure you have Android 2.21 on it you'll find your battery life is improved a lot.

I have had the Galaxy S for about 7 or 8 months and I love it am running Froyo Asian release now and my battery lasts for 2 days.

I play games, make calls use various Apps and have wireless switched on when I'm at home Oh and my emails are synced every 15 mins i have no problems with Battery.

But then I did have a Windows Mobile before and had to carry 2 spare batteries around with me wherever I went.

Jeez, battery life of 2 days and carping on about it like that is good.

I get fed up recharging my mobile every 5. Don't know why they can't use the bigger batteries they put in the cameras instead of those like an after dinner mint.

Try carrying a smart phone with Batteries for 5 days average use around.

You'll have a strong right hand for sure it will be like going back to the Bricks of the 90's

2 days is no problem for me to charge I sleep sometimes and stick it on charge while i sleep :-)

Thanks for that. I have Android 2.2 loaded, but not sure if it is 2.21 - probably is though. :allright

2.21 got pulled as it was buggy and messed up lots of peoples phones, next update date has not been announced yet. But looking likely Desire HD will get 2.3

I'm running 2.2.1 and have no problems on my Galaxy S

I was trying a different Rom but couldn't run my GPS before but all the phones functions work well now.

I am keeping my eye out for a stable 2.3 and will flash it when I am confident.

Android 3 is in development and will also be released this year.

It wasn't across the board with all phones but for some it did cause some pretty bad hiccups, like I say, they've pulled it no, so no longer available. I didn't get it but look forward to 2.3

Is Kies working for you?

When I upgraded to 2.2, there was a workaround by inserting an external SD card, and unmounting it later, but that also doesn't seem to work anymore, like I said, Samsung support over here is just
