I had a little experiment to test tracking, but no email arrived, so it might be broken.

Ok, I have tracked a few topics, and now my email is full of messages about the replies to the topics I tracked.

 

It might depend on the email options you chose. I chose "Immediate" delivery whenever a topic is replied to.

 

From what I can see, it works fine.

 

If you're not getting the emails, check the email address you set with the board software, then make sure you are not having all the emails sent to the spam/junk pit.

I'm still having the e-mail issue that only started after I changed mt addy in the settings. I have done the same thing on other sites I visit frequently and the problems only seem to show up with the Thailand Forums I frequent, specifically here, PA and TV. Not sure if that is useful or not.

Nope. Sorry. It works for me, so I'm reasonably certain it works.

 

I'll try to sort out wetwillie and see if anything relevant to your situation comes up.

Spam filters are all turned off. I've tried every thing short of calling AT&T. I think I'd live without the notifications rather than try that.

I might have a handle on this issue, and it also might explain why it works for me, but no one else.

 

 

Can you clue me in when you figure it out so I can see if it is a similar problem with the other forums I'm having trouble with. Oh and thanks for trying to get this figured out, Getting prompt attention 2 other places has been impossible. :rolleyes:

I changed the email address to admin@pattayatalk.com. Look for mail from that email address.

Damn! I am so glad to hear that.

 

I made some changes to the email sender while trying to resolve this, and kept bouncing lots of topic tracking emails.

 

I put things back the way they were, and the bouncing stopped.

 

What it told me is that there are quite a few people who are tracking topics daily.

I have comcast at home and use verizon on the road. The tracking works find for Secrets and Pattaya addicts. It use to work for Pattayatalk but stopped about 2 months ago :banghead :banghead :banghead
