After a President has been in office for 1 year it is customary for the last President to send a note of congratulations to

the new one.

So yesterday when the note came from Bush to Obama, the President was somewhat troubled because it was written in code and all

it said was:

370H-SSV-0773H

This troubled him as he had always heard from his peers how former president Bush was perceived to have been scholarly challenged.

So he took the note to his wife. She was unable to decipher it.

They called in the VP, and he was unable to decode the message. They called in the chief of staff and the head of Secret

Service detail and they were unable to determine the meaning of the note.

Next he called in the head of the Senate and Speaker of the House..

They both were mystified by the meaning of the coded message.

Now there was complete panic in the Oval Office.

They called all of their contacts in the media and sent copies of the note to all of them, and not one was able to come up with

an answer.

A special emergency meeting was called by the staff.

All branches of the military, counter intelligence, CIA,FBI were called in, and the best minds were unable crack the code.

After a sleepless night, a now humbled President Obama picked up the phone and called the former president, and asked him the

meaning of the note.

George Bush chuckled and replied: 'Bud .... you're holding it upside down!'

No doubt a true story. That's just the kind of man George W. Bush is.

Only a liberal could be silly enough to believe a joke. Checked your "710 cap" lately? :chogdee :clap2

Got any pictures of Obama greeting homecoming troops? I can't seem to find any. Or, maybe that's just the kind of man Bush is. And Obama isn't.

Thank you Bruce for the pictures. Very nice.

One has to figure that the boys and girls of the 10th Mountain would be strong supporters of George Bush.

Ps. I enjoyed Tony Blair's description of George Bush in his new book.

Bush showed for a photo opp, gee, that's new. I'm sure that you remember this one also. It's from 2003, back when there were 135 Americans servicemen that had died in Iraq. This is seven years later, care to look up that number now? Bush should be on his knees begging for forgiveness from those solders. By the way, did Bush ever find that WMD?

Oh, but Obama never shows for photo-ops, right? BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!! So you're admitting that there are no pictures of Obama welcoming home the troops? :chogdee

BTW, although you were kind enough to give me one-stop shopping for liberal lie debunking in a post before, I am frankly sick and tired of doing it. You believe what you want, just keep the propeller on your beanie nice and oiled up. :clap2

So you are admitting that WMD never existed and the whole Billion dollar a month war was all just a big scam perpetrated on the American people? Did you happen to look up those numbers on how many Americans have lost their lives in Iraq since that scam started? I wonder if they keep records on the number that lost arms, legs and such. Any of your right wing blogs have those numbers available?

Glad that you admit to that point Bruce. Now lets go back to retired ex-President Bush's photo opp. I looked up the pictures that you posted, they were taken AFTER Bush left office. He is to stupid to write a book like other presidents did. He is to self centered to help humanity like Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton are doing. He has nothing to do all day but play golf and watch fox news. So he took an hour of one of his worthless days and did a photo opp. Woo Hoo.

Then you compare him to President Obama who is Commander in chief of the military, overseeing two wars. He is dealing with the BP oil spill, a lousy economy, Israeli / Palestinian peace, American health care, an onslaught from the far right wing, and the republicans. He meets regularly with world leaders, and there are a lot of leaders in the world, just look at a world map. He goes to briefings with the CIA, FBI, NSA, The Military, and his own cabinet. Congressmen are constantly knocking at his door trying to get his attention, or support on what ever their pet peeve, or pet project is. There is also Pakistan, Iran, and North Korea to deal with. I could go on and on. Then on top of that, he has a personal life, with a wife that is young enough to still want a sex life, and her husbands time. He has a daughter what would like a father in her life. Every Sunday he goes to church. (Yes, a Christian Church) not that it should matter.

It's amazing that you want to compare what he does, to a man who has nothing to do all day. So Bush did a photo opp with retuning troops. Here is a pic of President Obama meeting with troops. Notice he is talking to a soldier that was wounded in action. Not some that were returning after being "in the rear with the gear". Being "in country" does not mean that they saw action, or were part of that action. There are lots of support military in country. Mechanics, construction, supply, medical, paper pushers and such. As far as finding pics, I'm like bush in the fact that I'm retired and lazy. I found this one in the first place I looked.

Considering that George W Bush was the one that sent them out in the first place, its the least he could do to welcome some of them back, minus those who returned in body bags. Its called a photo opportunity, used by those who are no longer popular to appear caring. but who we all know are cunts.

Geez, there is just no pleasing you. First you complain he is taking a photo op for political gain. Then you post the op was taken when he was out of office and there was no political gain. That he is just doing it because he has nothing better to do. I would suggest he was doing it because he cares.

I would imagine there are those who would call you a pathetic, negative whiner with nothing better to do............

Ps. "He is to stupid to write a book like other presidents did. He is to self centered to help humanity like Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton are doing."

Perhaps someone who does not know the difference between to and too should not talk about stupid.....

i suspect the pictures are for illustration in his new book, I doubt whether there will be many words to fill a biography. You could list what Bush did on the back of an envelope :whistling:

I know several people who were involved at one level or another with the Bush administration. All will tell you Bush cared. That he went out of his way to visit with the families of fallen warriors. Most of the time he forbade any public acknowledgement. Same with most of his meeting with returning warriors. He did not seek the spotlight, the photo op most of the time. He did it because he felt it was the right thing to do. If you pay attention this fact is ocasionally mentioned within the press, even by some of the left.

Whether you agree with Bush or not, he is a class act.

You have shown through your constant complaining about President Obama, that there is no pleasing you. I on the other hand, call you on your misinformation, and made up stories. There was political gain by the photo opp. For the republican party. It would also seem that it has been used as propaganda against a sitting president, at least by Bruce, and I assume others as he surly found the pictures on some right wing wacko website. If bush really cared, he would have showed up for a group of soldiers that had been shot up, or showed some heroism. Not a bunch that were in the rear with the gear.

Funny, that is exactly what I think of those of you that do nothing but try and show President Obama in a bad light. Even to a point of making up stories, and making mountains out of molehills. Your demonizing of the words liberal, and socialism show that. Even though your socialism reference is wrong. Using words like left wing wacko, libtard, lobama proves my point. You are a malcontent, and you have several others on the board that join you in that description.

Ps. "He is to stupid to write a book like other presidents did. He is to self centered to help humanity like Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton are doing."

If I were writing a book, and my editors missed it, you would have something to whine about there. I never passed high school English with better than a "D". Still in college, I was able to hold a 3.8 grade point average. Obviously those smarter than you, focused on content rather than "to" and "too". Lucky me.

Interesting that you did not debate Bush being to stupid to write a book like every ever president has done, but chose to attack me instead. You glossed over my reference to the two other presidents that are now doing something with their lives to help humanity. What are either of the Bush's doing? Never mind, we already know. Daddy Bush is selling arms, and dummy bush is doing nothing but living the high life.

LD you are a total ass!

If not believing right wing wacko rhetoric, stating the obvious, and telling the truth makes me a total ass,,, Than I'm proud to be a total ass in your eyes. Thank you very much.

Ever noticed that those that are caught being liars, cheats, or thieves, will always resort to name calling? No need to reply, just an observation, and question in general.

I call Bull Shit !! Not a word of what you said it true, and certainly not provable. Bush wasn't a class act, he was an idiot puppet with his strings being pulled by Dick Cheney, Karl Rove and others. You can't come up with ONE family member of a fallen soldier that had a visit from Bush.

Jeez, one should at least take 30 seconds and Google before one calls bull. But like most liberals your argument and beliefs tend to be emotionally based. Not fact based. So of course there is no need to check for facts, logic, or reason.
