NYC to BKK on Qatar Airways

Surfing around a few days ago on Orbitz, I saw a fare of $1,275 all in from JFK for March. The times are good too, leaving at 11 pm and arriving Bangkok at 7 am, which saves a vacation day IMO and give you a full day in Thailand upon arrival. I also like the night flight aspect relative to getting to sleep.

 

One stop in Doha, but only for 1.5 hours.

 

I haven't used Qatar previously, but Skytrax ranks them as a 5 star airline, and apparently they have some of the roomiest economy seats and very good IFE screens and content. I think I also read the economy seats have footrests and padded headrests. Take a look at the 777 on this chart for Qatar, which indicates wider than average seats and good seat pitch:

I've read some really good reviews and also some bad ones, but might have to give them a go next trip.
