Send Money with IKOBO

Since PayPal does not have a branch in Thailand, has anyone ever sent money using IKOBO.com? It would seem to beat wire transfers.

Reading the IKOBO deal it seems like a good thing for those of us who may want to send money to LoS. The rate is 4% and you get a discount with your first transaction. Seems to beat Western Union hands down.

 

I'll consider it next time I want to send money to LoS. I run a Thai dating website which I'm currently re-vamping. I will be sending money to LoS for translation and lubricating fees and it seems IKOBO is a good deal.

Not only does PayPal not have a branch in Thailand, but it is on their list of "prohibited countries" and accessing your account from there may get it shut down until you can jump through a bunch of hoops to get it opened again.

Voxvader, I don't think PayPal has a branch anywhere. It is an internet based money exchange bureau.

I was able to accessed my paypal account once in Thailand, I had to confirm I was in Thailand, that all.   For some reason paypal does not Transfer to Thailand banks.  

Why waste your money on Transfering?  Just set up a seperate bank account and mail the ATM, I used to do that with my EX and it saves alot of money.
