When I visit a bar and decide to buy a lady a LD I see it as respectful for having the lady sit with me. I hold no expectation beyond that. If I'm interested in BFing her I will make the appropriate enquiries in a short period of time. If we come to an arrangement we usually have a few more drinks before leaving. If she says she cannot (for whatever reason) that's her call, she's under no obligation to go with me. I just move on. No problem.

If I have no intention of barfining her I will say something which indicates to her that I'm just here for a short while before moving on to another bar. So I limit myself to 1 LD. I digress here, I don't know about what others think but it irritates me when a lady orders eg a shot of tequila. When I buy a LD I like the lady to order a drink that is going to take more than 3 seconds to drink. Just a bugbear of mine. On my recent visit I told more than 1 lady that if I buy a second LD I'm not paying for a shot drink. Of course my demand was complied with lol

I understand your issue with the shot drinks. Along those same lines, I don't particularly like when they order juice. However, I think it is a bit controlling to offer a girl a LD and then tell her what she has to order.

I wouldn't lose sleep over being controlling where these girls are concerned.

Not that I tell a girl what to order, she takes care of that, but if it is the 3 nanosecond-eye-wash-glass of tequila and then nags for more I might suggest she move on to richer pickings. Most soon pick up on the fact of whether or not a John is an easy mark or needs a more subtle approach.

You can actually be in control of the situation you know, money trumps pussy in this town.

Some of the Go Go Bars in Town employ the "show girl" type models who are more than happy for you to buy them a drink or two

but you cant bf after all they are only paid to dance?

Perhaps they don't want to go with you :whistling: :uh-uh:  :allright :grin

I certainly don't suggest what the lady orders first time. That's up to her. If she wants a shot, up to her. I just say, if you want me to buy you a second LD then please order a drink that is going to take a comparative time to drink to my beer or spirit drink. I just feel guilty if the lady does not have a drink in front of her whilst I'm talking with her. If she just wants to down shots then I figure she's just after her LD commissions which equates to no good for me. On my recent trip when this happened I explained my feelings to the lady and they were all happy to comply on their 2nd LD. I'm not yet as firm-minded as what Jacko says and maybe others would say harden up. But I have feelings just as these ladies do, regardless of the fact that their out to make money. I just believe in being diplomatic (and yes I'm probably a soft cock to some). IMHO

I ask BEFORE buying a ladydrink if she goes with customers. A 'No' is no drink, a 'Yes' is a ladydrink. The lady drink isn't for her companionship, it is so that I have a chance to vet her, is she doesn't go with customers then why waste my time and/or money, no vetting is necessary if I know she isn't going with me.
