OK, this has probably been answered BUT....how late do the baht buses run going from and to Pattaya from Jomtien?  I am contemplating renting a condo in Jomtien and still want to enjoy the nightlife in P.

If you want expensive, all night from anywhere ( 50-100 baht )

If you want cheap walk to the very beginning of the walking street, forward in the directions to the second road and there is a bbus station, there you have to wait until the bbus is full ( some minutes ) and go for 10 baht.

From Jomtien just catch a bbus and pay 10-20 baht.

I think Jomtien is more comfortable in many way. But this is a question of taste.

Craig,

They run very late, I always stay in Jomtien and have never had a problem getting to/from. 10B from Jomtien upto Central Pattaya, if I go to North Pattaya 20B is what I pay.

If at night you are leaving the Walking Street area, or take a BB upto 2nd Rd. & South Pattaya, Don't get in a BB at the corner and wait, sometimes it can be awhile, just start walking down 2nd Rd. towards Jomtien and one will pass you within a minute or so.

Thank you both Gabor and Gammon.  I am presently renting an apartment in Pattaya and will probably move to Jomtien in a month or so.

The baht buses run 24/ 7  but as others have already said late at night you may need to wait a short time in order to catch one. Many guys prefer Jomtien to Pattaya. I have one friend who lives in Jomtien nine months a year and he tells me he never has a problem. In fact many of the drivers know his route and pull over in front of the condo to wait for him.
