hi, I've booked my ticket, its from my city via Kualu Lumpur to BKK at the end of this month.    just wonder is it worthwhile to stay in Kuala for 1 night and look for some nightly entertainments there ?  or go straight to LOS ?  any idea ??

If you want to play the tourist then KL and the surrounding area can keep you occupied for a few days of sightseeing.  But the nightlife, in my opinion anway, is crap.  You're mainly limited to hotel health clubs.

 

So, get thee to Pattaya young man, get thee to Pattaya.....

KL is a great city, but if you are looking for P4P you might as well wait until you get to LOS.  P4P is available if you want it, but not quite as out in the open.

 

Downtown, you can pick up freelancers at Beach Club.  They congregate on the right side of the bar (if you are facing the bar from the entrance).  They probably wont approach you though.

 

If you are good-looking and white you can probably find an upper-class Chinese-Malaysian who wants to fuck a white guy.

 

There are a bunch of disco's right around there as well but I don't know a lot about them.

 

If you want to see the trendy nightlife get out to Bang Sar where you will find a huge neighborhood of bars, clubs and restaurants catering to KL's young rich and upper class.

 

Another cool thing to do is to go up to the resort/casinos outside of town.  They are at 2500m elevation and it can get pretty cool up there which is a nice break from the heat of KL.  Also up there is one of only two vertical wind tunnels in the world.  If you are a sky diver, it is not to be missed.

I don't know what airline your flying on, but most of the US carriers will charge you more if you stopover in a city unless you have to spend the night there waiting for the next availble connection.

MAS - Malaysian Airlines.  I am flying from Australia.

They are having a special rate from July to the middle

of August.  which is about the same as what I got

from Olympics 2 years ago,  OA is no longer flying the

Sydney-BKK route.

 

If I go to Land of the Free, I'd like to break it in

Auckland and/or Hawaii.  can get a better deal from Air

New Zealand.

okay, I agree that Malaysia is beautiful country,

but no booze, no movie, no songs, no fun.  

 

how about the south of Thailand (other places

than Phuket) ? is there any actions in Chomporn,

Hat Yai, Hua Hin, Kanchanaburi ??

Come on I just told you about booze, women and gambling!  And no songs?  There's karaoke places everywhere (and they'll parade a bunch of hot Chinese chicks before you that you get to pick from to hang out and serve you).  

 

There's plenty to be had, it's just at mostly western prices.
