Utilitys Disconnected

Recommended Posts

I have been away for about a year and as my funds ran out in my Thai account and the direct debits failed my utilities were cut off.

Electric/water/internet

This happened a few years ago and I was made pay the arrears and the forthcoming 3 months before they turned me back on. (Even though I was cut off)

(I've forgotten what I had to do & where I went to sort it out)

what is the best procedure for getting them back on without paying the earth.?

What will I need to have and where do I need to go ?

Thanks "In advance" :)

Is it a house or a condo, the internet if you were on a rolling contract will just cut it.

Electric and water if its condo they will manage it for you, the electric place is past Bangkok Hospital on Sukumvit heading towards Bangkok, turn left where the police statin is about 2 kilometres past Hospital ..

Anything you were wired into pay you will need to, I had to pay 2k to get the electric in my name... suprised the electric is cut off as any bill under 300 baht is paid for by the Thai government or not charged as it were,

Recently my internet and water was disconnected... I called the internet provider ( Sophon ) they turned on my internet connection BEFORE to pay anything and on the next day I had to pay 500 baht for the reconnection + the future bills. The water was cut by the condo for a 72 ( seventy two ) baht debt and I had to pay 300 baht fine... ( hmmm... If I arrive after 6pm, I can't even shit...

Electric bill is a nightmare....arrived for years with the electric was cut off... My last experience is 3 year old about it, so maybe not perfect nowadays.... I had to ask a new electric metres in Naklua in the electric office and it took 3 months to pay it automatic from my thai bank account ( this is true today too ) Without a TGs assistance I would still sit in the dark.... However, I gave 200 baht for the local maintenance guy, who made me a short cut, so I used the electric for 1 months for free...:whistling: until the new metres arrived...
