I am in need of some dental work. I have had my teeth cleaned many times in Pattaya and have had no problems. I now need either a implant or root canal with a cap. can you guys who have had implants, bridges, root canals and such let me know if you recommend your dentist...or stay away. prices would be nice also. I can probably get prices over the internet, so mostly need the experience of service. I can go to bangkok or even chaig mai if necessary.

I have used B K K Dental on soi Buckhow in between soi lk and Soi Dianna.

I have had my teeth clean a few times there and just over 3 years ago had a crown not had any issues with it at all.

If you mean BK Dental on same side as Oasis then I would say keep away, I had a tooth pulled there and it was an absolute nightmare, fucker only waited about 5 minutes for the novocaine to work and then started yanking it out. When i complained he just said "Sorry na" and finished the job. I now know why they used to torture people by pulling their teeth out. Needless to say 5 minutes after he finished with the torture my whole face was numb and i was drooling.

From friends of mine, I would now only go to see Dr Aree at Pattaya International Hospital, Soi 5 or one of her colleagues there if she is not available, they have specialists there in implants and will not recommend to you if a cap is better.

Make your first day in Thailand the morning at the dentist at Bangkok Dental Hospital. Google it. Teeth cleaning X-Rays, and all dental work same day, in by 9AM, and out by lunch. No need for novacaine if just fillings, and you can arrange it all by e-mail, have itinerary in hand when you get off the plane.

I had all my minor work done, and my insurance company loves the fact that I spent a third of charges that would be incurred in the states. I had them fill the form out and it's sent to the insurance when I return home. I've never had the implant, cap, bridge etc., just takes too many appointments and I don't want to waste the time. Up to you though.

I got some work done - 4 crowns - at the Pattaya Memorial hospital. Haven't had a problem at all.

The dentist who was there (my work was 18 months ago) was excellent. Didn't feel the injections or anything.

I am going back in December to have more work done.
