Visa services in Pattaya?

Recommended Posts

Hello all.  My first post here.  Does anyone know whether there are Travel Agents offering visa services in Pattaya?  Would the amount they charge be comparable with the Khaosan Road agents?

Specifically, I will need to get a tourist visa for China, and would prefer to arrange it in Pattaya rather than through the Chinese embassy or a Travel Agent in BKK, which would necessitate hanging around in BKK at a time I would rather be enjoying a (ahem) beach holiday.  I cannot arrange it here in Australia due to various technicalities.

See you in May, people.

There is a visa service just a few doors down from the queen victoria on Soi Yodsak (go out the front door of the queen vic and take a left).  I am not sure how well it is, it says Visa's to U.K. I am not sure of China.   I think there are some visa services near the Queen Victoria

Since everyone's talking about visas I'm wondering how much it costs to extend your visa when you are already in Thaialnd/Pattaya, how long it takes, etc..  if you want to stay past your 30 days.

 Thanks

10 - 15 mins in the local Immigration office. Just take your passport. 500 baht for a 10 day extension, 100 - 150 baht for the passport photos they take. They'll give you two of the photos back.

You'll have to leave the country and come back if you want to stay for a longer time.

Just a warning!!!!!

It can take 10-15 mins but if you are a late riser like I am and you take your passport in the afternoon and not first thing in the morning, it can take 24 hours but don't worry.....Immigration issue you with a special card which temporarily replaces your passport which remains at Immigration. So if you get into bother in that time you are covered.

Certainly possible, though I've taken my passport into an island immigration office five minutes before closing and had no problems at all. Was in and out in 10 mins, included the time they took to develop my photos. I donated 50 baht to the Immigration fund afterwards....

Thanks to those who answered my question, but I've now decided to give China a miss this time around.  No prizes for guessing why.
