maybe also the quality of beach road girls will get better, who can afford going to pattaya.

During the last few weeks, the quantity of Beach Road ladies has increased. Normally, there's a certain percent that are within my 'preferred' range and that percentage hasn't changed, but with the increased numbers, there are more in my selection pool. The local ladies aren't happy with the increased competition which is both attributable to flood needy ladies from Ayudthaya, Bangkok and Chiang Mai (from my small poll sample :) and the regular annual high-season return migration of ladies from Isaan.

Just a thought. What an upside!

Girls bailing out of Bangkok and no work, need to make ends meet...doing a little "part-time work"

Look for the silver lining, you lucky bastards!

Yes, in the last few days, I've had two on Soi 6 from Bangkok (or at least that's what they told me :) and last night met a 20 year old Uni-student new to me on Beach Road which agreed to a LT. However, many young ladies give the "Uni-student from Bangkok" story so who knows... It doesn't really matter as long as I enjoy their services (and company), then I'll 'take care' of them. I've seen one of those two on Soi 6 now working in a different part of town and I plan on repeating with the Beach Road Uni-student until she returns to school in late November (her story).

Now that the special holiday period is over, any indication that people have returned to Bangkok or is Pattaya still full to the rafters?

Is traffic on Beach/2nd Roads worse in the day time or evening?

From my observations on the routes I traverse, a typical weekend has heavy traffic on Beach, 2nd and Klang; but this past week it was horrendous on the weekend and typical heavy weekend traffic during the week. It's heavy from mid-day and then gets even heavier during the evenings and thins out after midnight (last night at 11:30 pm it was very slow on Beach, but 2nd Road was Ok). I walk as fast or faster than the pace of weekend traffic so it hasn't affected my ability to get anywhere in a timely fashion. In fact, one fellow walker remarked, it's easier for us now as we can cross the streets almost anywhere without waiting as the traffic is stopped.

Yes, I am taking an optimistic view of this unfortunate disaster. Have you seen the faces of the Thais up north wading through the waist high waters? Land Of Smiles :) What can you do, but take care of those within your realm and enjoy the day.
