Do a search on this board as well as ofbboard.com and pattayabargirls.com, 4 or 5 of us have talked about meeting for NFL games.  Since you have Boston in your nickname, can I assume Pats fan?   I was born in Danvers and grew up in NH, so would be good to watch Pats with fellow fan.  IM me as we get closer to dates so I'm sure to let you know on plans.

This Sept I was searching in BKK and Pattaya for US football (pro or college) on tv. The only place I could find showing US pro football is the Soi 7 Tequila Reef Cantina. It has a Tailgate offering on Tuesday afternoons featuring a rerun of a Sunday game and features a Mexican buffet. Also had a delayed showing another day, Monday I think. I had the buffet and a pitcher of cold beer and enjoyed the game.  Not many US football buffs in Pattaya, so it isn't crowded. Couldn't find any US football games listed in the Bangkok Post tv schedule. Good luck in finding more. You should find many Pattaya eateries offering Thanksgiving dinner.  Greg's Kitchen on Second Road is one likely to do it right (proper dressing, cranberries, pumpkin pie, etc.).  I suggest you take a look at the Pattaya Mail archives for previous years Turkey Day festivities and announcements.

I've watched the ESPN Sunday evening game in my hotel room, I believe it started around 7 in the morning.  The early games on Sundays and Thanksgiving day would start around 11 PM, which wouldn't be too bad, but the 2nd game would start around 2 AM.  I'll be following the games when I'm over there in 2 weeks, but will not be pulling for any particular team, just the players that are on my fantasy team.

The Pattaya Mail had this notice regarding American football on tv at the Taquila Reef Cantina:

Tequila Reef on Soi 7 is celebrating the return of the NFL with game replays every Monday night through the season and a ‘Tailgate Party’ from 4 p.m. to 7  p.m. every Tuesday. Chicken wings, chilidogs and tacos only 25 baht, plus 2 for 1 frozen margaritas.  Only at Tequila Reef Mexican Grill Cantina, Soi 7, 30 meters off the beach (free parking available).

This from Mekong Kurt's The Rounds regarding Tequila Reef Cantina's Thanksgiving dinner:

And for those of you looking for a great place to celebrate American Thanksgiving, on Thanksgiving day they're offering an all-you-can-eat Thanksgiving buffet for the amazingly low price of 495 baht.  Serving starts at 2:00 P.M. Tequila Reef is located about 30-35 meters inside Soi 7 from Beach Road, Soi 7 being beside the police station (almost). Open daily 11:00 A.M.-"Late."

Guys:

Thanks for all the helpful posts.  I checked out Tequilla Reef and really liked the place.  AC, nice setting, the owner is very friendly (hey, SFDude, he's also from sanfran), food good, and great shaken margaritas.

TG deal is buffet for 450 including turkey, ham, duck breast, and all trimmings. I think it will be very good.

The owner asked that if we have six or more we make reservation as he is expecting good turnout. I was thinking about maybe fivish, with maybe a crawl on Soi 6/Yodak before around 3.  Can you guys IM me or respond on this thread if you are interested? So far, I think we have:

Anyone else up for it? I guess we can add a few at Wed members meeting.

Hub,

Wish I could join you guys, but I'll be thinking of you Thanksgiving day.  If you've never tried the Ruby bar on Soi 6 it worth a look.  Very nice bar inside and decent S/T rooms with large mirrors on the walls and the ceiling.  I'm looking forward to your report of you and Chicken.
