An era is coming to a close.  :'( from fun for all, to just plain buisness and money. Time for me to go, I hate clinical Boards, they SUCK. I feel very sad as I've made many friends here(on the old board) but I refuse to be dictated to and forced to accept this new board against my wishes (and about 80% of all members)

I will continue to look in at old board as long as it runs but looking at the way the messages have just been deleted, it won't be for long!!!

Yeah Bob, goodbye to the good ol' days. I've seen it happen with several other boards go the same way. It'll end up with 24 different sections and will become a "multinational" message board where you're a number and not a member.....

 

Oh, well...... you can't stop "progress", call me old fashioned  :-[

I honestly enjoyed the simplicity of  the old board, and the ease of seeing new posts. There is a spot here that one can click on, and gives the most recent posts, or most recent ten, I believe. In all honesty, or how I see it, someone is doing the work to make this  and or the old post availible for everyone. In light of the work and time that they are having to put in,  I feel whichever board makes their life easier, is the route to go. I do understand what you are saying about becoming a number, but I am not the one maintaining the site, so I have to go with the thoughts and feelings of the person that is running it for us.

This is not a flame but I would like to know where you get the statistics from that you use to support your argument for retaining the old Board?

 

There are currently two polls taking place on which Board is preferred - an official one launched by Pete and an unofficial one by Freddy.  Both currently show 80% in favour of moving to the NEW Board!

Haven't you figured out that in all your travels to the LOS that some of these folks are the "it's gonna be my way or I'm taking my ball and going home" kinda folks.  Not all, but there are some.

 

As I previously stated, if they want info on Pattaya, where else are they gonna go?  PLB?.....LMFAO

It doesn't matter what type of board you use but how good the posts are and even Stevie Wonder could see there has been nothing of interest posted on Flb for a long, long time. In fact some might say since my unjustified exclusion.

:)when delphi started charging for access to the nanaplaza forum marcel moved it to this type of layout and many of the members were upset. but once you get use to the lay-out you will enjoy to have the subject mater divided in to topics.

I think what is lacking here is the more candid chat   that was such a feature of the old board! I am sure thata private section will be following soon where more adult discussion will be permited, if not come on PP give us a little of that thai spice  ;D we all want !
