I think it really depends on the time of night you come in.  Search the old board...i recall seeing someone posting the price range about 6 months ago

It did say or ask what the average cost might be, surely Pete could give us that. As to a particular time or day or night, that wouldn't be an average.  ::)

It would be very difficult to give an average cost of a bell ring because it depends on how many customers are in the Bar when the bell is rung.

 

Similarly, it will be affected by how many staff are working, eg if many of the girls have been barfined then your bell ring will be cheaper than if most of them are in the Bar.

 

If you are contemplating ringing the bell but wish to have some idea of how much it will cost on a particular occasion then the best thing to do is speak with Ben and he will be able to give you a rough idea of what it will cost you.

For the sake of the two people that were curious, and probably others, maybe we could turn the Post question around and have it read,,,, Does anyone remember what it cost them, when they rang the Bell?

Sorry Bill but that doesn't help because I have rung the bell at all sorts of times - some of them busy and some of them not so busy.

 

As I said above, the best person to give an estimate of the cost on a particular occasion would be Ben.

I'm in full concurrence with PSP.  There are a few factors in determning the costs:  # of folks in the bar, time of night, what folks decide to drink (draft is cheaper than a Corona), etc.  I figure roughly 100 baht a person.

 

I think the least amount most I ever spent on a bell ring was roughly 1800 baht.  It was right around opening time and a few TGs were late to work.   :)

 

The most I ever spent on a ring was right about 16,000 baht.  Yes, 1-6-0-0-0 baht.  It was during a party RICHARD and I were having and the place was packed.  The next day, I recall Pete or Ben saying that was the best night they had ever had.  I forget but I'm sure that was the night I rang it 5 times.  RICHARD rang it another 5 times.  It worked out as the TGs got shit-faced and finally took their knickers off during a competition.

I rang the bell 3 times in LOS.  

 

Misty's - 4500 baht (that must have been the night Party wasn't there and Doc was drinking water)

 

FLB - 8900 baht.  It was October (low season) and I actually waited until there were a fair amount of members in the bar to ring it.

 

My longtime's beer bar on soi 7 - 2500 baht late at night, only one other farang, but it seemed to lift the spirits of the TG on a slow night and they all came to claim their drinks.

 

I don't know if Pete or Andy would want this known but both at Misty's and FLB I told them I didn't have the money on me as I kept the bulk of my money in my safe in my room.  I told them I wanted to ring the bell but didn't keep that kind of money on me, no problem, I just brought it in the next day.

I remember last yr, I was drinking at my favourite

Jan Bar walking st.  Next door some american guy rang

the bell, there was a fare amount of customers at the time, Okey if you want to ring the bell, up tp you.

as we noticed girls from other bars came running, free loaders, not once this guy rang the bell rang 2  3 times

it must have cost a fortune.

Agree with PSP and Echster on this one depend on the time of night / year / month what ever, just please dont ring the bell if you cant afford it. Ask Ben or Pete if your in FLB the approx cost.

 

You think the one bell ring echster had that night was a lot of money ..... you should have seen our Bar bills by the end of the night .... looked more like the GDP of Thailand than a bar bill  :)   mind you it was a fun night

 

Mind you I think the bar bill was quiet high due to the fact that Ben only drinks Babysham  ;D
