President Solitaire in BKK

Recommended Posts

Has anyone on this board stayed at the President Solitaire in the Sukhumvit area? It looks pretty luxurious and the prices aren't really that high considering what you're getting and the other high-end hotels in the area.

BTW, what exactly is the big difference btwn a hotel and a serviced apartment?

yo slick,

Too expenseve for me but it looks very good.

Most serviced apartments do not have bars/food outlets/public rooms etc...

Be nice

I've stayed at the Rotal President (same family) before and will never again.

Home page image is rather misleading. My experience was springs sticking out of the stained sofa, room in a back wing isolated from everything, trickling dirty, cold shower, etc.

For the price range (about US$50-60 a night) you're better off paying a few bucks more and book the JW Marriott through Priceline HK, IMHO.

Stayed there for 2 Weeks last summer in a Studio.

Room and Building was top notch, I will post some Fotos of the Room a little later.

There is a price deal for Members of Nanaplaza Board, I think I have paid 17000 Bt per Week.

Guest friendly, but you have a Walk of Shame Situation there.

Usually I stay at cheaper places, but last summer I just wanted to try something more Upmarket.

If the money is ok for you, take it! Highly recommended!

Havent stayyed there personally yet, but a buddy on anther board has, and higly recommends it.

It is the height of luxury - I have booked a room for my last night in BKK before flying home, I went for the most luxurious room possible with the Jacuzzi, so it should be good.

I have heard excellent reports about the P.S on another forum and have consequently booked a couple of nights there in March.

I too like the sound of the large Jacuzzi etc.

It's located a few Sois down from the Nana area,so will be new territory for me to explore.

Anyone recommend any good bars in the area?
