travel from pattaya to chumphon

Hi all. I'm having trouble getting to Chumphon. Flights are limited or expensive. I'm looking at renting a taxi/mini bus. Does anyone want to share a ride or suggest options for getting to Chumphon?

Plenty of buses from the Southern Bus Terminal in BKK, or the train from Hualamphong. That said, getting to the Southern bus terminal (Sai Tai Taling Chan) can be an adventure on its own. At the moment, you'll probably have loads of half-wits heading down that way for the Full Moon Party on Ko Pha Ngan.
