4-5 star hotels girls friendly

Recommended Posts

JW Marriott, but there has been varying reports on the GF side.  I only stayed there once and had no problem, great location also.  Dusit - I recomend not to stay there, overpriced and 100% not GF at all.

I always stay at the JW Marriott in Bangkok if not in company. I've never had any problems, whether one girl or multiples. Even in the week before APEC, with heightened security including installing an airport style metal detector at the entrance (other doors locked and guarded), there was never so much as a mention.

In Pattaya, I have heard stories about the Marriott giving guests grief. My feeling is that they would not, partiucularly if you know how to deal with 4*/5* hotel people. In such hotels, you book the room, you don't pay "each". However, I don't consider it to be good value in Pattaya and I stay at the Residence Garden. Not a 5* I agree but never any hassles and always most accommodating.

I stayed at the Marriott RG in Nov of 2002 and they had no problem with guests.

I'd stay there again at Xmas but the holiday rates are outrageous. They have a 'compulsory' charge for New Years and Xmas dinner. It looks like they may have something special going on at that time and I'm worried that they may not be TG fiendly over this holiday.

If the Hotel has general No-Guest policy its worth simply asking the manager if they have a 'Red-Card pass'

Though it isnt well known many Hotels have this and will issue a Red Card pass to people they think are 'worthwhile', or regulars, or Tour Operators etc etc etc.

Hi, before I moved to Pattaya (September) I always stayed at the Dusit Resort in North Pattaya. It is on the baht-bus route but far enough away from the strip to be nice and quiet. You are given a Welcome back on arrival which states no "guests" in the rooms, but this is for window dressing- guests are more than welcome for no extra cost.

There seems to be some differing stories on the guest policy at the Dusit. If you go there on a package deal they'll hit you for a 1000 baht per girl joiners fee. This may or may not be payable if you book with them direct.

As regards guests in rooms, their rule is no unregistered guests, i.e. sign them in and cough up the 1000 baht and you're OK.

If you can put up this, it's otherwise a very nice hotel and I'd recommend it to anybody. [smiley=thumbup.gif]

be seeing you
